Dr. Carla Gavilanes Gasparini is an independent doctor who owns two practices within the Austin & Buda community.

She has been able obtain and manage two separate locations inside of a competitive field. One office is located inside of the Walmart in South Park Meadows & the other inside the Buda Walmart.

Dr. Gasparini provides high-quality care in a small space. She accomplishes this by investing in equipment that provides dual functions, hiring attentive staff, and creating an environment dedicated to the best care.

This setup allows Dr. Gasparini greater flexibility and keeping the flow moving in the office.

Comprehensive Glasses Exam

A comprehensive eye exam involves a series of tests that assess your eye health and vision. A comprehensive eye exam can also reveal signs of a general health condition like diabetes, cancer, hypertension or high cholesterol. This exam includes a prescription for glasses and Optos Optomap laser scan of the retina. *Please note: If your Optos Optomap laser scan does not come out clearly, we may need to dilate in order to assess your eye health.

Contact Lens Diagnostic Fitting

Upgrade your visual freedom with a customized contact lens fitting tailored to your unique eyes and daily routines. We evaluate your corneal shape and use precise measurements to prevent irritation, lens movement and dry eyes. Customized lens options include: daily, weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly disposables, toric lenses for astigmatism , multifocals and specialty RGP/Scleral or medically necessary options. We provide step-by-step wear and care instructions for all new wearers plus a trial pair to ensure complete comfort before finalizing your prescription. Thirty (30) days of follow up care are included. * Performed in conjunction with a comprehensive eye exam to ensure ocular health. Insurance coverage varies by plan and may apply to this service.

DMV Screening

An applicant who fails their driver's license examination in Texas can complete a more accurate measurement by their eye doctor. The testing required includes Dilation drops, Retinal Imaging, Visual Field Screening, Depth Perception, Color Vision Test, and ultimately a prescription for glasses will be given if applicable. Note: In some cases, examination by more than one specialist may be requested and/or recommended.

Medical Eye Exam & Consultation

A targeted evaluation focused on diagnosing and managing an urgent or chronic ocular condition. If you are experiencing red, painful, itchy, or dry eyes, sudden vision changes, flashes of light/floaters, eye infections or injuries, our doctors are highly trained to provide excellent clinical care.

*Note: Medical eye visits are separate from routine vision exams and are typically billed through medical health insurance rather than a vision plan. Separate co-pays and deductibles apply.

Optos Optomap*

Optos is the leading retinal imaging company that has an ultra-widefield, high-resolution digital images, and captures approximately 82% and 200° of the retina. No other device can facilitate the early detection, management, and effective treatment of disorders and diseases evidenced in the retina; such as retinal detachments and tears, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and age-related macular degeneration with a single image without having to dilate. *Special Rate

Dilation

Our doctors recommend dilation every year if you are 50 or older. When we apply the dilation drops to your eye, it opens up the pupil to give our doctors a better view inside of your eye. It causes a mild near vision blur for two (2) hours after installation of the drops. We recommend someone driving you in case you have to leave right away.

Screening for loss of central or peripheral vision, can detect brain tumors (ie pituitary gland tumors), and screens for glaucoma. Highly suggested for those suffering from headaches, transient loss of vision, or those with glaucoma in their family history

Foreign Body Removal

Foreign body removal from the eye involves carefully removing a particle or object lodged on the corneal surface or in the eye, often requiring specialized tools and techniques to ensure safety and minimize damage. Antibiotics are prescribed to reduce bacterial infection chances. Do not attempt to do this yourself. After 48 hours the corneal re-grows over the foreign body making it more difficult to remove. Contact lens bandages might be used over the eye to reduce discomfort after careful removal.
